I went to work for 1.5 hours today
Last night Amber stayed with us because she had an interview at this learning center thing. So I was asking her about it and she said that it was an open screening and that I should just come along and see. So after much debate and turmoil (I felt really guilty and it would be more missed hours on my next paycheck) I decided to go for it. I was a three hour interview. It was crazy because the job pay $15/hour and a Bachelor's is recommended but not necessary.
Anywho, it was cool at the same time, I have never been so stressed about an interview. I found out about it at 9:30 last night!
They told us about their theory of learning and we had to practice specific ways in which they implement learning (they cater to Dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, Autism) I really like the way they taught it was very visual (the student does the visual) and made sure that students weren't just memorizing what they need to get by, but making sure it is understood.
I feel kind of overwhelmed, but it is not a big deal if i don't get it (it is a summer job) Doing something brainless also sounds appealing. We'll see.
